Move More, Feel Better

Simple Solutions are Better

Mood and state of mind are exceptionally important for maintaining a high quality of life. When that dark cloud of gloom seems to be following us around what can we do? One option is to head to the doctor and hope that he gives us a pill to make us feel better. This will work in many cases, but perhaps there are even simpler solutions. What if we skipped the red tape with our insurance provider and regularly performed exercise instead?

‍

Get Moving, Start Smiling

This makes perfect sense. We weren’t designed to sit for too long. Sure, there are times when rest is vitally important, we call this sleep. But being inactive for too long during the day just does not payoff. To really get the most out of these incredible machines (our bodies), and enjoy life to the fullest, we need to make the decision to move. Those who exercise on a daily basis can benefit in the following ways.1

  • Reduced anxiety and depression
  • Improved confidence
  • Better perception of competence
  • Enhanced grit to just get the job done
  • Longer independence for the elderly
  • Better oxygenation of the brain
  • Feelings of control
  • Opportunities for social interaction
  • Hardiness, an ability to cope with stressful situations

‍

Someone You Want to Know

Take a look at the list presented above. Does this sound like a person you would want to spend some time with? My friend, this is you! Or at least can be you. Exercise is a huge personality enhancer. And heres the really good news..it’s cheap!

‍

If you are sitting while you are reading this, just stand up. How did that feel? Congratulations, you are no longer sedentary. What if you went outside?
